Nursing Subject Guide: NCLEX-RN

The library offers access to selected NCLEX-RN exam preparation tools, both from reputable fee-based products and free online resources. The library's BoardVitals subscription is a recommended starting point, allowing TC3 students to access a high-quality exam prep tool for free, as well as earn extra credit in various nursing classes; visit the library's BoardVitals guide for more information.

But if you're looking for some print books to check out, the library has those too!  Take a look at some of the suggested books on this page, or contact Karla Block (the nursing librarian) for help locating other books.

Selected Books in the TC3 Library

The library has selected books to prepare for the NCLEX-RN exam. In addition to those listed, the books in the Made Incredibly Easy series (e.g., Maternal-Neonatal Nursing Made Incredibly Easy) often include practice questions written in NCLEX exam format, along with other selected nursing books.

BoardVitals and Peterson's Test and Career Prep

The library offers some free practice NCLEX exams through Peterson's Test and Career Prep (see link below).

And, don't forget to check out the library guide about BoardVitals!  This NCLEX-RN prep resource is used by the nursing program for extra credit each semester (your instructors will provide more information). The resources on the NCLEX guide you're viewing are great supplemental NCLEX-RN resources, but BoardVitals should be one of your main tools to prepare for the exam.
